Coco Palm is a family owned and run hotel in the centre of Rodney Bay where the focus is on value, but not at the expense of service. A Host checks you into your room and acts as your concierge. The French Creole boutique hotel offers 83-rooms in the four story Palm building while the 20 Kreole rooms are on two floors offering amenities one has become accustomed to: rain-shower heads, mini fridges, coffee makers, cordless phones, CD and DVD players and free Wi-Fi access. There is also a free-form swimming pool and a restaurant where musicians play live on selected nights each week. The Rodney Bay location – a five-minute stroll from St Lucia's best white-sand Reduit beach – means there are plenty of dining and night-life options nearby. Coco Palm is owned by the Saint Lucian Chastanet family and is managed by Feolla Chastanet with Mr Jean St Rose as General Manager and Mrs Claudine Gilbert as Senior Operations and Head of Reservations.
“Appointing Jean St Rose as General Manager is a perfect match in his management style and that of Coco Resorts. As a Saint Lucian owned company with a strong accent on the French Creole influence, Jean understands both these aspects having honed his hotel experience in both Saint Lucia and internationally” noted Coco Resorts Managing Director, Feolla Chastanet – "I could not think of anyone other than Jean who better represents all that we are looking to develop at Coco Resorts."
As the General Manager of Coco Resorts, Jean St Rose manages the 20 Kreole rooms and the 83 rooms at Coco Palm. St Rose welcomed the opportunity to open Coco Palm and work with the founder, Allen Chastanet. He went on to say: "The opportunity to open Coco Palm as General Manager and be part of an authentic Saint Lucian property fills me with pride.”
Mr. St Rose has worked in the hotel sector in both Saint Lucia and Germany and was most recently Hotel Manager at Sandals Halcyon. Both Mr Chastanet and Jean St Rose worked at Windjammer Landing in opening the property in 1991. Having started his career with Steigenberger’s Cariblue Hotel, now Le Sport, St Rose trained in Germany and is fluent in German. With over thirty years’ experience in both EP and All-Inclusive operations, Jean’s experience is well suited in the development of Coco Resorts.
