Reduit Beach

St Lucia’s award winning Reduit beach, is only minutes away within walking distance from Coco Palm, and offers guests the best beach on the island. Enjoy watersports ideal for the calm waters Reduit beach offers you, where beachside operators at Rodney Bay offer waterskiing, banana-boat rides or sailing on sunfish boats or hobie cats. Windsurfing and kitesurfing are available as well as beach lounging and Spinnakers Bar & Restaurant, with views of Fort Rodney and Pigeon Point in the distance.

Pigeon Island National Park

With hiking trails, sweeping lawns and fabulous views of Rodney Bay, this is a great place for walk or a picnic. The distinctively twin-peaked landmass that forms the northern end of Rodney Bay, Pigeon Island is not now an island at all, having been joined to the mainland in the early 1970s. Today, the 40-acre park is owned and maintained by St Lucia’s National Trust, and its lawns and footpaths are popular with locals and tourists alike; it also serves as one of the main venues for the annual Jazz Festival.

Dining out and having fun!

Rodney Bay Village is on your doorstep, with a wide selection of watering holes and more than 45 restaurants and 120 duty free shops to choose from. Coffee shops & local watering holes offer a wide variety. Restaurants within walking distance including Chinese, Creole, Eurobean, Italian, Indian, Seafood, Tapas and Thai. Unwind at bars like the Happy Day Bar, Delirius and Spinnakers on the beach – to name a few. Fast foods include Burger King, Dominos, and Subway. In addition, the nearby Bay Walk Mall offers a wide selection of food outlets catering to every pocket and taste, not to mention the only Casino in St Lucia.

Gros Islet and the Fish-Fry Night ‘Jump-Up’

Every Friday night, Gros Islet streets are closed to traffic and vendors set up stalls selling crafts and an array of delicious barbecued food, from lambie (conch), lobster and chicken to steamed fish. Soca and reggae blare from huge speaker-boxes, the drinks flow – sold from mobile bars and street-side establishments – and, by 22.00 or so, everyone’s dancing on the tarmac in a cross-section of streets towards the beach. It’s all pretty good-natured, though single women can expect plenty of attention from would-be dancing partners. Parking can be difficult, and using taxis is the best option.

Golf

St Lucia’s public course, the St Lucia Country Club Golf Course, is located in a superb setting at the northern tip of the island, its fairways overlooking the Caribbean Sea. It has 18 holes and a clubhouse with restaurant and bar. Its facilities also include a driving range and practice putting green.
