Allen M. Chastanet, Minister for Tourism & Civil Aviation of Saint Lucia and Chairman of Coco Palm Award Wining Boutique Hotel, is the responsible for the day to day operations and all marketing and sales efforts in Coco Resorts: "The master plan has been completed and I am very much looking forward to this chapter in my life," he says.
From 1995 to 2003, Chastanet served as Air Jamaica's Vice President of Marketing and Sales. Before joining the airline, he was the Director of Sales and Marketing for Island Outpost and its 11 hotels in Miami's South Beach, Jamaica, and the Caribbean. He also served as the Director of Tourism for his native St. Lucia, where he was credited with bringing the island into the forefront of the Caribbean's tourism industry.
Chastanet currently serves as Minister for Tourism & Civil Aviation of Saint Lucia.
In 2001, Chastanet was named Travel Agent Magazine's "Caribbean Destination Person of the Year."
Headquartered in Castries, St. Lucia, he holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Masters degree, both in economics, from Bishops University in Quebec and American University in Washington D.C., respectively.
