GUEST COMMENTS & REVIEWS

Hi Alison-

I have been meaning to write you since my vacation in St. Lucia from July 23-Aug
1. It was wonderful! As you recall you had set up my stays at the Coco Palm (one night) and the Bay Garden Beach Resort (one night) following our stay at the Sandals Regency. Enjoyed the Sandals resorts thoroughly but we looked forward to escaping from all the "hopla" there to a quieter spot. The Coco Palm is very charming resort and our room was wonderfully furnished with beautiful mahogany furniture. I cannot remember the woman's name but she was from Britain and she gave us a nice tour of the suites which we thought were extremely nice. Enjoyed a dinner and breakfast at Ti Banane .....

“Coco Palms - the Best Hotel on St Lucia”

This is the first time I have ever written a review, but I had to tell you about how great the Coco Palms hotel is. My husband and I went for 2 weeks in November/December 2007, and my father and stepmother joined us for the long Thanksgiving weekend.

The staff are so friendly and can't do enough for you and the rooms are beautifully decorated, spacious and immaculately clean.

My husband and I stayed in a standard garden view room, which had a huge king-sized bed, a marble bathroom, a small balcony, a refrigerator, a television and coffee and tea making facilities. My father and stepmother stayed in a pool view suite, which was very similar save that they had two bathrooms (his & hers!) and a separate living room area with two couches.

For those of you who can't bear to be without it, there is free internet access on the two computers in the hotel lobby.

The restaurant at Coco Palms, Ti Banane, is lovely and the food is great - sort of French/ Caribbean. It is right up there with the best of the restaurants in Rodney Bay.But the bar at Coco Palms is fantastic and the bartenders are super. We had lunch at the bar nearly every day and happy hour became an institution (ask Kirma to make you her avocado berry cocktail!)

We met a couple who were staying at the Rex and a couple staying at the Bay Gardens and they all told us that they wished they had stayed at the Coco Palms! The photos on the hotel's website are accurate - the place is exactly how it appears in the pictures.

I would recommend to anyone travelling to St Lucia to stay at the Coco Palms hotel and we will definitely be going back soon.

I have stayed in many hotels and this is certainly one of the best. From the minute we arrived the staff could not have been more helpful, there seemed to be more staff than guests and they were all so friendly and accommodating. The hotel itself was fantastic, from the size, cleanliness and layout of the room to the great food/drinks on offer, all this with a beautiful pool and very close to the beach. The staff were on hand to offer advice on what trips to take, where to shop and when asked something they didn't know the answer to ensured they found someone that did and then came and found me to let me know. The hotel was extremely safe and in a great location close to lots of resturants and bars. I loved it and can't wait to go back, which I will soon.

My wife and I stayed at the Coco Palm for 6 nights in April 2008. This is a lovely small mid priced hotel well worth every cent.
The rooms are very comfortable, as are the hotel grounds. We loved the hotel pool and the Ti Banana restaurant and bar are fun to hang at (food was O.K.). There is also live music on some nights. Reduit Beach is a 7-10 minutes walk from the hotel and is also very good.
All in all, we had a great time at the Coco Palm and Rodney Bay and at a very reasonable price (the hotel). I think it is an excellent choice for this area. You can find a hotel/resort right on the beach but it will cost significantly more.

The restaurants at Rodney Bay offer a wide variety , if a pricey one, of cuisines and were generally very good (Despite reading the good reviews before going, I was still very pleasantly surprised by the quality of restaurants at st. lucia). Our favorite was the Charthouse (also with the water side location) but the Buzz, and Memories of Hong Kong were also excellent. The Edge restaurant we thought was a bit too sophisticated and pricey although dinner was good.
